About Me

Welcome to my private practice! Hi, I’m Jacquelyn Morales, founder of River of Hope Mental Health Services PLLC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate dedicated to helping women heal, grow, and rediscover themselves after life’s most painful experiences.

My counseling journey was not only shaped by education and professional experience, but also by my own personal experiences with grief and loss. Throughout my life, I have experienced loss in several different ways, including the loss of my brother, my mother, miscarriage, infant loss, and divorce. These experiences deeply changed me and challenged me in ways I never imagined. Through hard work, self-reflection, and therapy, I was able to begin rebuilding myself and reconnecting with who I truly was underneath the grief. That journey is what fuels my passion today.

My mission is to help women rediscover who they are after experiencing trauma, grief, heartbreak, loss, or major life transitions. Healing is possible. It may not happen overnight, but with support, compassion, and intentional work, it can be done. I want women to know they are not defined by what happened to them, and that there is still hope, purpose, and peace ahead.

Professionally, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s of Education in Counseling. I am currently practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and hope to become fully licensed by the summer of 2026. My professional background, combined with my lived experiences, allows me to approach counseling with both clinical knowledge and genuine empathy.

My counseling style is primarily person-centered, meaning I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued without judgment. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies and patterns.

Clients can expect a calm, regulated, and compassionate therapist who approaches each session from a nonjudgmental place. My passion is helping clients reconnect with themselves, rebuild their confidence, and return to who they truly are beneath the pain, fear, or self-doubt.

Whether you are navigating grief, loss, anxiety, relationship struggles, identity changes, or emotional exhaustion, you do not have to carry it alone. I hope that therapy becomes a space where healing begins and where you feel empowered to move forward with clarity, strength, and hope.
